Are you a player of grade V or higher standard and would like something exciting to do on Monday evenings?

Vacancies for playing positions in the orchestra arise from time to time. If you are interested in joining the orchestra, helping out in rehearsals and/or concerts as a deputy when other members are unable to attend or you would like to find out more about other playing opportunities with us (such as courses and workshops), then please complete our membership enquiry form.

Why not come to one of our rehearsals to meet us and find out if this is what you’ve been looking for!

You don’t need any previous experience of playing in an ensemble or orchestra – you’ll get plenty of that just by coming regularly to our rehearsals.

To learn more about us, please go to the New Member Information page.

Alternatively, go to our Events page and have a look at the music that we will be playing inĀ our next concert. Don’t worry if your first impressions of the music is ‘too many notes’! Focus on the passages that you can play, and not the ones that will come with a bit of practice; there are ways of coping with the ‘tricky bits’.

Come and see us!
We usually perform two concerts per year and also take part in collaborations with other groups, participate in workshops and organise a range of courses and other music-making activities. Read about our forthcoming programme of events.
Join us!
We are a friendly group of amateur musicians, enthusiastic about making music together and developing our skills under the guidance of a team of professionals. Find out how you can join us and learn about the vacancies we have at the moment.
