The Friends of the Endcliffe Orchestra is a group formed for the benefit of ex-members of the Orchestra, spouses and partners, and anyone with a non-playing interest in the welfare of the Orchestra, as well as to benefit the Orchestra itself
Friends pay a minimum of £15 annually, and are entitled to one free ticket for each concert during the year. Seats are reserved near the front of the concert venue for Friends, each with one (fully paying) guest, if requested.
There are no other obligations on the part of the Friend or the orchestra. All other activities for or by Friends are voluntary.
Friends participate in a number of aspects of the life of the orchestra, including:
- Invitation to all events, including meals out and visits to concerts;
- Involvement in preparation for and organisation of concerts, such as selling programmes, taking tickets etc;
- Help with catering at events;
- Participation in fundraising activities and administrative tasks.
The relationship between Friends and the Orchestra is intended to be one of mutual benefit.
