On Saturday 5th November 2012 the Endcliffe Orchestra participated in a workshopto prepare for the world premiere performance of Timothy Allen’s specially commissioned finalé for the Alight: Twilight event to be held on the 3 March 2012. The workshop took the form of the first run through of this new piece led by the composer. Participating in the workshop with the orchestra were around 300 singers from the Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus and other Sheffield-based choirs and singing groups.
The day provided an opportunity to meet other Alight singers and to have fun. The rehearsal was a really exciting event and a unique opportunity to be involved in the creative process for this new piece of music.
