In this section of the site you will learn more about The Endcliffe Orchestra. Our mission explains the purpose and objectives of the orchestra. The Endcliffe has a history of rehearsing and performing in Sheffield since 1977. The orchestra is a development group, meaning that each member is intent on improving their musical ability including technique and ensemble playing and performing. The orchestra provides a friendly and welcoming environment within which amateur musicians in Sheffield can rehearse and perform together.

Rehearsals take place every Monday during school term time from 7.30pm until 9.30pm in the Parish Hall of Millhouses Methodist Church, Millhouses Lane, Sheffield, S7 2HA, which can be reached from both Millhouses Lane and Whirlowdale Road.

The orchestra usually performs a number of concerts each year from a wide repertoire of music and uses these events to raise money for local charities. Under its constitution, the orchestra operates as a not-for-profit organisation.
